Tutorials: Control Widget: Set Variables

Required access: Voxtelesys Portal

This widget sets a variable. Variables allow the designer to make flow decisions and can be used in Liquid templating. Once set, the variable will be accessible by name in other widgets.

*Disclaimer: You will need to have Voice API enabled on your account to do this you will need to open a ticket with support. VAST flow builder is still in BETA please keep this in mind are you create your flow.

To use the widget simply click and drag it into the builder.

Note that naming the widget can help identify it with other tools later on. It is case sensitive, does not accept spaces or dashes

The Set Variables widget has the following configuration abilities:

Name of Variable (required)

The name of the variable.

Value (required)

The variable’s value. This field supports Liquid templating.

Now, you will want to connect the Set Variables widget as seen below:
