Create a Backup

Enter your credentials.

Select the "Admin" icon, then click on the "Tools" tab and click on "Backup & Restore" from the drop-down menu.

  • Name: Enter a name to describe this backup.
  • Run Automatically: This allows you to add a cron profile that has been previously created. Cron profiles are used to schedule backups to be run periodically at fixed times, dates, or intervals. The steps to create a cron profile are at the end of this tutorial.
  • Comment: Enter a comment that will be added to this backup.
  • Limit: Select the number of backup copies that will be stored. The oldest copy will be deleted once the limit is reached.
  • Add-ons: Set this up if you want to select the add-ons to which the database will be backed up.

Enable what you want to backup:

  • Include CDR Records
  • Include Call Recordings
  • Include Voicemail
  • Include Faxes

Click on "Save" when you are done.

To navigate to your backup, select the icon in the top right corner of your screen.

Click on the backup you created.

From here you can modify your backup’s settings.

Click on "Run Backup Now!" if you want to run a backup immediately.

You can see in your Backups List that a backup has been created. You can backup, restore, or delete it if you would like.

Click on the "PBX" icon, then select the "Tools" tab and click on "Cron Profiles" from the drop-down menu.

  • Description: Enter a short description to identify this cron profile.
  • Template: Select a template, if you want to make configuring your cron profile settings easier and faster.

Click on "Save" when you are done.

After that, reload VitalPBX to finalize your changes.
