Tutorials: Smart Attendant Setup (v2.1)

Enter your credentials.

Click on the "Unifi Talk" icon.

Click on the "Engagement" tab.

Press the "Add Smart Attendant" button.

Enter the Following:

  • Smart Attendant Name: Enter a name for your smart attendant (IVR).

Enter the following:

  • Numbers: Select a DID Number. It should be in the E.164 format.
  • Extension (Optional): Set the extension number you want assigned to this smart attendant (IVR).

Configure the following:

  • Ringback: Configure the audio that callers hear when dialing a Unifi Talk user or group. The default setting is Global.
  • Hold Music: Configure the audio that callers hear when placed on hold. The default setting is Global.

Turn on this setting if you would like the smart attendant to work differently based on business hours.

Click on each day’s timeline to change the default hours.

Turn on extension dialing if you want callers to be able to connect with a user or group without going through smart attendant menus.

Choose from the following options:

  • Generate: Generate a text-to-speech greeting if you choose this option.
  • Record: Record a greeting in the phone system if you choose this option.
  • Upload: Upload a prerecorded greeting if you choose this option.

Leave this option enabled.


Then select the following:

  • Keypress: Select a digit from the drop-down menu.
  • Prompt: Type a name for your prompt.
  • Ring Destinations: Select the destination for a keypress. This determines where the keypress will be directed.

Note:
You can add more keypress options after creating this smart attendant (IVR).

If business hours are enabled:

Add more keypress options by clicking on the right side of the Business Hours tab.

Select the route for calls outside of business hours by clicking on the right side of the Non-Business Hours tab.

If not:

Add more keypress options by clicking the right side of the box on the far left.
