Tutorials: SIP Trunk Setup

Setting up the NEC SL2100 is a bit more work than some other PBX systems out there but in the guide below we will show which sections you need to configure to get Voxtelesys and NEC connected!

  • 01 - Domain Name: "voxtelesys.net"
  • 02 - Host Name: "xxxxxx-xxxx.sip"
  • This is the first portion of your Voxtelesys domain: "xxxxxx-xxxx.sip.voxtelesys.net"
  • 03 - Transport Protcol: "UDP"
  • 04 - Domain Assignment: "Domain Name"
  • 01 - Outbound Default Proxy: "Enabled"
  • 05 - Register Mode: "Manual"
  • 07 - Register Port: "5060"
  • 11 - Register Domain Name: "xxxxxx-xxxx.sip.voxtelesys.net"
  • 12 - Proxy Domain Name: "voxtelesys.net"
  • 13 - Proxy Host Name: "xxxxxx-xxxx.sip"
  • This is the first portion of your Voxtelesys domain: "xxxxxx-xxxx.sip.voxtelesys.net"
  • 14 - SIP Carrier Choice: "Carrier B"
  • 01 - Registration: "Enabled"
  • 02 - User ID: "Your domain username"
  • 03 - Authentication User ID: "Your domain username"
  • 04 - Authentication Password: "Your domain password"

Your settings in this section may vary but Googles DNS of 8.8.8.8 is recommended.

  • Match the Settings in the image.
  • 28 - Audio Capability Prioity: "G.711_PT"
  • In this section you would select the Trunk and this is going to be the default caller ID for that Trunk.
  • In this section you can set up your trunk to support the mode of DID.
  • 01 - Received Number: "Put in the last 7 digits of your Voxtelesys DID"
  • 02 - Target: "This is the destination the call will route to, IVR, Queue, extension, etc."
