Add Auto Attendants

Enter your username/extension and password.

Click on the "Extensions" tab.

Click on "Extensions" from the dashboard, then click on the "+ Add" button.

  • Extension: Type in an extension number.
  • Type: Set it to "Auto Attendant" from the drop-down menu.

Click on the "Save" button when you are done.

  • Display Name: Enter the CNAM (caller ID) that will be displayed on the phone when making a call to/from auto attendant.
  • Enable Fax forwarding (optional): Enable this if you want the system to forward fax messages to an extension if the fax tone is detected.
  • Show on Public Directory (optional): Enable this if you want the auto attendant to include the extension display name and number in the Phone Book (Directory) and Extension Directory.

Click on "Save" when you are finished.

Switch over to the "Attendant Settings" tab.

Configure the following:

  • Enable Schedule: Check this box to select and apply a preconfigured schedule. The applied schedule allows for scenarios like working hours, non-working hours, and holidays.
  • Working Hours: Set working hours to "Custom" from the drop-down menu. This entails using the embedded scenario builder to configure a custom scenerio.
  • Non-Working Hours: Set non-working hours to "Standard" from the drop-down menu. Standard is set by default.

Click on "Save" when you are finished.

Switch over to the "Scenario - Non-Working Hours" tab.

  • Pass Dialed Digits through Call Routing: Enable this to send dialed numbers to the Call Routing Table.
  • Enable No Input Redirect: Check thix box if you want callers to be redirected to the specified address if no input is entered. The Prompt Repetition is used to set the number of prompts to be played before redirection.
  • Enable ZeroOut Redirect: Check this box if you want callers dialing "0" during the welcome message or recurring prompt to be redirected to the specified address.
  • Welcome Message: Set and customize a welcome message.
  • Recurring Prompt: Customize the auto attendant recurring prompt, which will play after the welcome message and will repeat periodically.

Click on "Save" when you are finished.

Switch over to the "Scenario - Working Hours" tab.

Click on the "Create scenario" button.

Scroll down to the "User Input Options" section and check the box next to the the user input(s) you want to configure.

Select from the following actions:

  • No Action: The system will skip this input and will continue playing the Recurring Prompt.
  • Go to the following menu: This leads to the selected submenu, either one that is already created or a new one.
  • Call to the extension: Select the extension to be called.
  • Call to the following number: Select this to specify a destination via the Call Routing Table.
  • Invoke Extension Directory: Select this to connect to the Extension Directory.
  • Park the call on: Select this to route it to a Call Park extension.
  • Terminate the Call: Select this to disconnect the call.

Click on "Save" when you are finished.

Verify the configuration, then click on "Save" when you are finished.
