Emergency Rule (V20)

Enter your credentials.

Click on "Admin" on the lower left side of the screen.

Click on the "System" tab, then select "Emergency" from the drop-down menu.

Click on the "+ Add" button.

  • Rule Name: Type in the emergency number's name.
  • Number: Enter 911
  • Calls from extension(s): Add specific extension(s) on this emergency number.
  • Calls from departments: Select department(s) you want to add on this emergency number.
  • Route: Select the Voxtelesys SIP Trunk.
  • Outbound Caller ID: Enter the 911 caller ID you received from Voxtelesys.

View and verify the created rule.

922 is to test that your information is correct if you dial 911 without reaching a 911 operator. A recorded message will play your phone number and address when dialed if e911 is assigned to your DID.

Repeat steps 5 and 6 for 922. except for "Number" use 922 instead of 911.

Repeat steps 5-7 for each e911 address/DID you have.

Press the "Notifications" button.

Select your notification type(s). Configure the notification options that will be used when an extension dials an emergency number. Voxtelesys requires an SMS/Textable number to receive 911 notifications from our network, which is set in our Portal: https://portal.voxtelesys.net/

Email options: You can sent emails to 1 email or multiple emails. When sending to multiple emails separate the emails with a comma and no spaces. Ex. [email protected],[email protected],[email protected].

Chat Notification: Select who should get a 3CX chat message if 911 is dialed by a user.

Play Announcement: Choose the extension or ring group the 3CX will call and play a message to. You will need to record that message. This will not work for call queues.
